I use a variety of salts from Redmond's to Celtic to Colima. Recently I saw an article about recommendations of salts based on metal and lead testing. I wonder if you have seen this, and possibly have an opinion about it. Would love to know your thoughts. This is the article: https://www.mamavation.com/food/sea-salt-himalayan-salt-heavy-metals-lead.html
Hi Rocky! Yes, I have seen that two bloggers have tested Redmond's and other salts, and I've done more digging/ introspecting into the topic over the past month or so, as someone else brought it my attention. I'm planning/ hoping to get a discussion of this topic out there, as I have a lot of thoughts on it. Lead is important to consider, but there's more to it.... and we all have different priorities/ sensitivities.
I am still sticking with Redmond salt for us (and not just because I have a stash of it!), and avoiding surface-mined salts like the plague. I also avoid processed salts, like most (all?) sea salt derived from the oceans.
With the level of EMF-sensitivity I have, and my medical history, I'm certain that I have a significant metal burden in my body, so I do take consideration of metals pretty seriously. But lead isn't at the top of my "avoid" list. If it's at the top of your list, then your decision will be different from mine.
